چکیده
Fuel quality is an important indicator for the suitability of alternative fuel utilization in internal combustion (IC) engines. In this paper, light naphtha and fusel oil have been introduced as additives local low octane gasoline to operate a spark ignition (SI) engine. Investigated samples prepared based on volume denoted GN10 (90% 10% naphtha), GF10 oil), GN5F5 gasoline, 5% oil) addition G100 (Pure gasoline). Engine tests conducted evaluate engine performance exhaust emissions at increasing speed constant wide throttle opening (WTO). The study results reveal varying obtained with compared (G). Moreover, shows higher brake power, lower specific consumption, thermal efficiency other investigated over whole speed. CO CO2 were GF10, respectively, entire minimum observed GN5F5. NOx emission was pure while lowest GF10. On hand, slightly than which gasoline. Accordingly, better emissions, can enhance using locally available additives.

Alcohols have been used as a fuel for engines since 19th century. Among the various alcohols, ethanol and methanol are known as the most suited renewable, bio-based and ecofriendly fuel for spark-ignition (SI) engines. The most attractive properties of ethanol and methanol as an SI engine fuel are that it can be produced from renewable energy sources such as sugar, cane, cassava, many types ...

A series of laboratory tests were conducted to assess the effects of Fe-containing fuel additives on aerosols emitted by a diesel engine retrofitted with a sintered metal filter (SMF) system. Emission measurements performed upstream and downstream of the SMF system were compared, for cases when the engine was fueled with neat ultralow sulfur diesel (ULSD) and with ULSD treated with two formulat...
متن کاملStudying Simultaneous Injection of Natural Gas and Gasoline Effect on Dual Fuel Engine Performance and Emissions
According to the Global Fuel Crisis, it seems necessary to use alternative fuel instead of gasoline. Since the natural gas is cheaper, have higher frequency than gasoline and less pollution, it is a suitable fuel. Many efforts have been done in order to replace gasoline with natural gas. One of the methods is to inject natural gas and gasoline fuel simultaneously and to use the benefits of both...
